An office building on Hacks Cross at Southwind is under new ownership.
The Mid-South Business Alliance (MSBA), also referred to as the Tri-State Trade Association, purchased an 11,900-square-foot building at 3200 Players Club Parkway in an all-cash purchase as Members Benefit Corp. The Shelby County Register of Deeds lists the transaction amount as $800,000.
The building sits on close to 1.7 acres. The seller was MSDG Memphis East LLC, owned by Kentucky-based Chandler Real Estate.
Tri-State Trade, an association of Mid-South convenience stores, is currently located at 319 Poplar View Lane in Collierville. The Players Club Parkway building will function as the organization’s corporate office.
Barry D. Maynard with Loeb Realty Group represented Tri-State. Maynard handled both sides of the transaction. There was no broker representing the seller.
“A small part of this office building will be used for Tri-State’s head offices, and the bulk will be for its members to use for store training, leaning how to best stock their stores to be clean and efficient for the customer and be on the front edge of what consumers want,” Maynard said. “This group is run by some of the smartest pioneers in the c-store industry and what better of a way to see the smaller operators – non-public companies – achieve the dream.”
Maynard said the association is comprised of roughly 150 members who own more than 350 gas stations and convenience stores in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. Rooziman Shah is the president of the organization.
